Polyester Webbing is great in ATV/Motorcycle applications because it does not stretch when it gets wet, and, it does not absorb moisture, so it highly resists, rot and mildew. We have two styles of polyester webbing...
1. Seatbelt polyester- All of you are familiar with seatbelt webbing. It is super tough. However, it does lack high abrasion resistance by virtue of its thinness. We are adding to our color selection all the time and have one of the widest varieties of color selections anywhere. This material is great for straps not being used in a high abrasion application, but where you want strong, secure tie-downs. Seatbelt webbing is available in 1-1/2" and 2" styles.
2. Nylon style polyester- This polyester more resembles our Flat Nylon Webbing. It has the no stretch and no moisture absorbing qualities, plus the extra bulk of nylon. This style is better in a high abrasion application. We have limited colors and some of them are not colorfast (Non-colorfast materials can "bleed", losing their color over time. This is not a particularly big problem with utility tie-down straps. However, if you handle your straps alot, or they are used where "bleeding" could damage adjacent materials, this would not be the choice for you.
