This is great tie down strap for canoes, kayaks, etc. if you have a car with well defined gutters. The flat hooks on either end are not vinyl coated. With the polypro webbing that doesn't stretch when wet, this is an ideal "over-the-load" strap no matter what the weather. These also work very well as trunk straps. The flat hooks hold well on the trunk lip. These are good replacement straps for trunk mounted bike racks.
