I bought some of this to make "rescue straps" for the local fire department guys. One of them got stranded in his vehicle and had two of the ones I made in his car and tied them together and used them to tow his vehicle...pretty darn strong the straps were not damaged and the stitching on a heavy duty machine held also. I was impressed that the knot might be removable if you worked at it long enough but it was really, really tight after towing a mini van. I can't an application for myself I'd rather deal with the flat product but maybe I'm just not understanding why this may be better for certain things. I wish they had red in this had to get that elsewhere.
