The child restraint strap provides a tough, durable strap that is designed to easily attach to grocery store shopping carts. Once the restraint strap is in place, it cannot be removed. The restraint clips are permanent once closed, unless you cut the hardware off, and replace them with new ones. It measures 8 1/2" on the non-adjustable end, and 15" on the adjustable end. For different lengths, please email your request to custom@strapworks.com. This strap is commonly made of heavyweight polypropylene or flat nylon webbing. However, heavyweight is the most preferred for sanitary reasons. The polypro is washing machine safe, therefore, it reduces the risk of your child getting sick if they put it in their mouth. To use you simply wrap the strap around your child's waist, then attach the clips to the cart. If your child is sitting in a chair that has small enough "rods" on the backing, you can also use this strap (especially when going to a friend/family's house) keeping in mind that is a "fixed" strap.
