Double 3-Bar Slide Belt made with 2 inch Heavyweight Polypropylene Webbing. Heavyweight Polypropylene webbing 2 inch has a breaking strength of 1800 pounds with a thickness of 0.060 of an inch. Metal 3 Bar Slides are not rated.
The hardware on these belts/straps are also known as slides, cast flat, or tri-slides. Your 3-Bar Slide options for the 2 inch patterned polyester webbing include:
Nickle Plated or
Brass. These belts/straps are typically used to hold up your pants, however they are not limited to that. They can also be used for securing straps for books, wood, utility cords, tools, plant stalks, etc.
If used other than belts, keep in mind the characteristics of the different types of webbing.
Double 3-Bar Slide Belts made with heavyweight polypropylene webbing are suitable for medium duty applications. It has excellent UV protection and does not absorb water quickly. However, polypropylene does not have good abrasion resistance, so it is not recommended for use against rough edges.
Double 3-Bar Slide Belts made with polyester webbing has the same attributes and characteristics as patterned polyester. Strapworks' polyester webbing is also sublimated, but is sublimated in solid colors. Polyester has all of the benefits of Flat Nylon, high breaking strength, high abrasion resistance, soft, smooth, and shiny. It also has the benefits of polypropylene, low water absorption, high UV protection, and it is also mildew and rot resistant.
Strapworks’ "Patterned Polyester" is polyester that has been sublimated. Sublimation is a process that virtually tattoos the ink into the webbing by turning a solid ink into a permeating gas. This process is done in house and it allows for great detail and vivid custom colorfast colors. Polyester is the only material we carry that is consistent in its ability to be sublimated.
Belt sizes are as follows:
- Regular:.....up to 38 inch waist (48 inches in length)
- Large:........up to 48 inch waist (60 inches in length)
- XLarge:......up to 60 inch waist (72 inches in length)
To shorten, simply cut the end with scissors and melt the end with a lighter.
