Many straps today use plastic/nylon slides to adjust their straps. However, if you prefer something more traditional or have a project that demands a metal slide, then Strapworks has the high-quality selection of metal slides that you need to get the job done right. We offer a selection of cast flat-metal slides that are nickel-plated and are available in ¾-inch, 1-inch, 1-1/2 inch, and 2-inch sizes. Use them for belts, equipment tie downs or a number of other strap applications. We give you the option to order your metal slides individually or as part of your custom strap order. Browse our collection of sizes, learn about our powder coating options below, and order your high-quality metal slides from our team today!
Please keep in mind that powder coating can delay the shipping of your order, and powder coating is only available with metal hardware. It's also important to note that powder coating is not permanent. Power coating will chip and deteriorate over time, especially in any "hard" use. If you are looking for a more long term color for your metal hardware, we recommend you check out our anodized hardware selection for a more durable solution. In those situations, black is generally recommended as the top choice.
Powder Coating for Metal Slides
At Strapworks, we can powder coat your cast flat metal slides for a small additional charge. Choose from a stylish array of 24 stock colors. Strapworks does not impose a minimum quantity on stock colors. You can also pick from over 100 available colors. However, on custom colors there is a minimum order of 150 pieces. You can combine different types of metal hardware to meet this requirement.

A Durable and Versatile Alternative
Our cast flat-metal slides are a more durable alternative to acetyl plastic slides. Flat metal slides for straps are mostly used as strap adjusters. They are often used in conjunction with side release buckles and they allow for a fairly large range of adjustment in collars, fanny pack belts and other equipment and apparel applications. Alternative uses for slides include several utility straps, such as the double cast flat metal slide strap or tie-down straps pictured above.
