The blade of our Sheffield Hot Cutters heat up to approximately
1200 degrees Fahrenheit. The extreme heat of the Jr. Hot Cutter and Chrome Steel
blade are perfect for cutting and sealing all sorts of synthetic webbing, rope
and cordage quickly and neatly. The blade heats to full temperature in just
about 1 minute and cools down in approximately 5 minutes once the unit is
turned off. The Jr. Hot Cutter can be portable or mounted on a tabletop for safer use; simply
plug your Hot Cutter into any standard (120v) wall socket and you are ready
to cut.
After using a Sheffield Hot Cutter for a time, you may begin to
notice build-up on the blade. To clean your blade, simply unplug your unit and
let the blade cool completely; then, using a screwdriver, loosen the screws
that hold the blade in place and remove the blade from the unit. Use a fine grit
sandpaper to remove the build-up, replace the blade in the unit and tighten the
screws (being careful not to over tighten the screws).
Of course, eventually
your blade will need replacing and we can help you there; replacement blades
for you JR Hot Cutter can be ordered at strapworks.com. (Just click here and we'll take you right to them.)
We here at Strapworks.com remind you to use all proper care and
