Bag Straps

How many times have you tossed a bag because of a worn strap? Well, don't toss it. Strap it. At Strapworks.com you can find your ideal bag strap. Choose from a large array of bag straps. You can customize your bag strap by picking your ideal webbing and hardware. A Strapworks' bag strap consists of one strap of webbing, in your choice of type, with many different options for the hardware that goes at either end. With so many options creating different styles of bag straps is a breeze.

Simply put, a bag strap is two pieces of hardware sewn to each end of the strap. Snap hooks are the most common type, but any hardware can be placed on either side of the strap. The hardware whether it is a strap hook or another type, can be connected to whatever you need it to. You can adjust the length of your strap by the slide. Pick from four adjustable lengths for your bag strap.

Flat Nylon:
Flat nylon is best used for higher abrasion applications. It is not recommended to use in or around water continuously because it absorbs water quickly, causing rot and mildew. Flat nylon can also stretch up to 2% of its length when wet (submerged in water multiple times). However, if you need a heavy duty strap for a "beefy" job, flat nylon webbing is for you. Nylon has a thickness of .070 - .075 of an inch and its breaking strength on flat nylon ranges from 2275lbs. - 5500lbs.

Available Sizes: 3/4 INCH - 1 INCH - 1-1/2 INCH - 2 INCH

Heavyweight Polypropylene:
Heavyweight polypropylene is perfect to use in the outdoors. It has excellent UV protection, and it doesn't absorb water quickly giving it resistance to rot and mildew. The abrasion resistance isn't very high, so Strapworks recommends not using this material against rough edges. This webbing is ideal for medium duty applications. It has a thickness of .060 of an inch and its breaking strength ranges from 675lbs. - 1800lbs.

Available Sizes: 3/4 INCH - 1 INCH - 1-1/2 INCH - 2 INCH

Lightweight Polypropylene:
Lightweight polypropylene is also an excellent choice for the outdoors. It differs from the heavyweight polypropylene by breaking strength and stiffness. Other than that, it has all the same specs as the heavyweight polypropylene. Lightweight polypropylene is .040 of an inch thick and its breaking strength ranges from 375lbs. - 750lbs.

Available Sizes: 3/4 INCH - 1 INCH - 1-1/2 INCH - 2 INCH

Polyester: Polyester webbing has the same enduring qualities as flat nylon webbing, with a couple extra bonuses! Polyester is ideal for either indoor or outdoor use due to its high abrasion resistance, excellent UV protection, high breaking strength and resistance to rot and mildew. Along with flat nylon, polyester has the wonderful smooth feel to it that makes contact with skin comfortable. It's breaking strength ranges from 2500lbs. - 7000lbs., so it will work for your heaviest of jobs.

Patterned Polyester: Strapworks.com now makes this wonderful patterned polyester in-house, and currently we have lots of designs/patterns to choose from with plenty more choices coming soon.
