How strong? Will it hold a 150lb or 200lb
dog hitched with a 3/4" leash bucked with
this whistle buckle?

These buckles seemed like an awesome idea, got my order in and... the whistle just barely works. You would be better off yelling till your horse, then yell some more before resorting to this whistle. I haven't had any problems at all with the ones I have purchased and my customers love them.
I would like to see an all Black version offered tho. I get lots of requests for all black.
Overall I would say a great product.

the previous reviewer must have gotten a hold of a bad one.... the ones i got will make your eatrs ring for a a minute. my neighbor a few acres away can hear me with NO PROBLEMS.
the function of this whistle isnt my problem, its more the comfort, i wanted to use these to tie 55o para cord survival bracelets.... IF THESE WERE CURVED..... they would be PERFECT. the lack of curve isnt the most comfortable thing on a round bracelet...
