Strapworks Custom Powder Coating

What is Powder Coating?

Powder Coating is a baked-on finish for metal hardware that adds color and works to prevent rust and corrosion. The coating is sprayed on, electrically bonded and then baked at 400°F; for an even finish. It is the easiest and most cost efficient way to liven up your hardware. Please note that ordering powder coating for your items can add an extra four to five days to your orders' lead time.

What Does Powder Coating Do?

When an item is powder coated, it is covered in a polyester or epoxy powder, which is then heated to fuse into a protective layer. Powder coating will not only give your hardware a beautiful finish, it will also prolong your hardware's resistance to rust and corrosion.

HANG MARKS DISCLAIMER

The process of applying powder coating hardware leaves a small-unfinished hanging mark. This is typical of this process. At Strapworks, our technicians take the time to minimize the visibility of this mark by placing it on a less conspicuous area, as pictured below.
